Terms & Conditions (BizKonnect)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the BizKonnect website and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using BizKonnect (“BizKonnect”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1) Definitions

  • User / you: Any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
  • Account: Your registered profile on BizKonnect.
  • Content: Any information, text, images, listings, profiles, or other material on the Platform.
  • Third-Party Services: Services not owned by BizKonnect (e.g., social login providers, hosting, analytics, payment providers).

2) Eligibility and account registration

  • You must provide accurate, current information when creating an Account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your Account.
  • You may not use the Platform for unlawful or unauthorised purposes.
  • If you use social login (e.g., Facebook/Google), you authorise BizKonnect to receive limited information from that provider as described in our Privacy Policy.

3) Platform use and acceptable conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Post or upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, abusive, or infringes any rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, accounts, servers, or networks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of the Platform.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our written permission.
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code.

4) Content and listings

  • You are responsible for the Content you submit, publish, or display on BizKonnect.
  • You confirm you have the rights and permissions to post your Content.
  • We may review, remove, or restrict Content that breaches these Terms or is harmful, misleading, or unlawful.

5) Intellectual property

  • The Platform, trademarks, logos, design elements, and software are owned by BizKonnect or licensed to us, unless stated otherwise.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform without written permission.
  • You retain ownership of your Content, but you grant BizKonnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use it to operate and improve the Platform.

6) Third-party services and links

The Platform may integrate Third-Party Services (including social login, security tools, messaging, or analytics). BizKonnect is not responsible for third-party services and their policies. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

7) Payments and fees (if applicable)

Some features may require payment or subscription. Where applicable:

  • Prices, billing terms, and applicable taxes will be shown before you pay.
  • Payments are processed through approved third-party payment providers.
  • Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once a service is delivered or access is granted, except where stated otherwise.

8) Notifications and communications

  • We may send service-related communications (e.g., account verification, security alerts, important updates).
  • Marketing communications will be sent only where lawful and may require consent. You may opt out where applicable.
  • If you enable push notifications, you consent to receiving notifications on your device/browser. You can disable this in your device or browser settings.

9) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your Account (with or without notice) if:

  • You breach these Terms;
  • We suspect fraud, abuse, or security threats;
  • We must comply with legal obligations or requests.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. If you want your Account deleted, you may contact us via the Contact page, subject to legal and operational requirements.

10) Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the Platform will meet all your requirements.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-provided Content.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BizKonnect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform. BizKonnect’s total liability for any claim related to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to BizKonnect (if any) in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold BizKonnect harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your Content, or your breach of these Terms.

13) Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15) Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You consent to the jurisdiction of South African courts for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.
